My intention was to photograph Venice’s Grand Canal, but the city offered so much more.
Reflections danced on the water as gondolas slipped by, framed by faded palazzos and flower-draped balconies. I heard church bells echo, oars splash gently, voices laugh in Italian warmth.
The air was laced with sea salt, espresso, and fresh pastry. I tasted pistachio gelato and the richness of the city’s stillness. Warm stone, golden light, and the soft breeze off the canal made the moment unforgettable.
