I arrived in Jordan with the desert still clinging to the horizon—vast, quiet, and ancient in a way that makes you feel small before you even begin. The journey to Petra wasn’t just a drive across land—it was a passage through time.
By the time I reached the entrance of the Siq, the world had narrowed to a ribbon of stone. Towering sandstone walls rose around me, streaked with colors that felt almost alive—reds, golds, and whispers of pink. As I stood before it, camera finally lifting, I realized I hadn’t just traveled to Petra to photograph it. I had come to witness something that exists between history and myth—something that refuses to give up all its secrets.
And in that moment, framed by stone and silence, I understood why some places aren’t meant to be fully explained… only experienced.
